SNAKE

From JULY 5TH TILL SEPTEMBER 20TH we are chain-reacting.

PROCESS
1. For the beginning we plan to do one exhibition every week, which can directly change after the first discussions up to one exhibition per day, per minute, per month etc.
2. The communication between artist and curator will therefore be spontaneously and reactive.
3. The first week will be organised by Qidong, the second week by Carola and so on. What happens afterwards, belongs to the art as well as to the discussions between the participants.
4. The second show must have any reasonable connection to the first show.

AIM
The artists as well as the curators are acting and reacting spontaneously, not knowing, where this journey wil end, - The potential in this working process: We can loose control. We can start having control, but most important: We can figure out, if we need control and to which point it is necessary, to act in arts. Reasonability is necessary to write applications to get support, but this officelasting work is more and more disturbing organical processes and experimental work for curators as well as for artists applying for one residency after another etc. Who has to be more reasonable? Must there be such things like red lines (snakes), which hold art practice together? Where are the differences in theory and praxis?

Spaces like the bazaar compatible program are rare in Shanghai. We hope, we got your attention with this first small instructions and questions are raising in your head already. We look forward to see you.
