If a number more and more raised by people tattoos worldwide, their story is always singular. Into the skin is the first opus of a work of plastic and film investigation on the tattoo.

Benoît, French sociologist, made a first analysis of its understanding of the phenomenon and falls in the hypothesis of a tattoo which he will doubtless realize never; Shanghainese artists of the tattoo deliver the first lines of the life paths which led them to the practice of this art. Through photos and audio extracts, the intervention is minimal and documentary but lets glimpse the preliminary in a movie where the intimacy of bodies is next to the immateriality of the drives and the most unsuspected fantasies.
