As an audience coming to see the project or an artist who is about to do a project in there, being there I always feel the urge of filling this space with something. : to fill it with art works that look like products from the dime store next door or to fill it with art works that make it a white cube

Although the space attempts to low the gesture of art by locating in a bazaar like this but at the same time it never really fits in: It makes itself an otherness. It breaks the continue view of daily banality carrying an invisible tension. The element to fill there it should be less solid, less concrete, even hollow and fragile, that something we don't see the strong existence but they act.

In this project, I casted two different plastic boxes (normal one and foldable one), those ones you can always find in bazaar like this. The boxes are casted into plaster to squeeze into the space along with two big air cushions. The arrangement of all elements in that small room produces different ways of vision experience and body effect of filling the space. Tapes and the crease on PVC are to me something uncanny in-between painting and sculpture. When the work fills there, the element acts on each other produce the tension both inwards and outwards.

From my current practice I have been using tapes, paint on plastic sheet, tin foil etc. materials that seem light, less important, fragile to discuss space and the role of sculpture.
