世 (shi) is an installation of screen paintings on mirror with a network form polyptyque.

It is spread in space with fragments of the chinese character 世 (shi)

世 (shi) appears in the words "world", "century", "generation" ...

It has been divided in four parts and painted in abstract expressionism gestual style.

The black square refers to the white cube which it becomes the "eye". Black color in painting is powerfull and could generate all images, like the Malevitch's black square.

The smiley mask refers to the question of face and interface.

The little white cube in chinese bazar is a neutral space in the crowded city, but not separated of it. The polyptyque is "in situ", but the panels tell an ex-situ : the world, the century...

It integrates a parking for the neighbor's motorcycle.

By the white cube the "local" is connecting to the global.

Inex-situ
